  After calling a couple national companies about trying to recover the information from my 4 western digital caviar black 1TB drives (set up in raid 10 where ports 1 and 4 were lost simultaneously) and getting quotes of $8,000 USD (and being a college student) I had all but written off the data on my drives. On one of my last calls of desperation to one of my local computer stores, I was advised to check out DTI. I later called and talked to Malcolm who got me set up with free shipping and a fair price to recover the data. I sent the drives out the next day with an extra external drive for any of the recovered data to be backed up on. Two days later I receive a phone call from Malcolm saying that they were able to rebuild the raid even though all of my drives should have been inoperable (the healthiest drive was at less than 20%). I am now just waiting on FedEx to return the drive so I can rebuild my system. I have to say the customer service and follow up exhibited by DTI was nothing short of fantastic. Every time there was an update I spoke to Malcolm directly, and it never seemed like they were hiding anything. All their prices and plan on recovering the data was up front and made clear from the start. I will be sure to update this review once I receive my drive back, but so far, I would not trust anyone else with any data recovery especially after dealing with multiple other companies both local and national.
